Nicknamed "Kath" in her native country......Katherine was born in Hamilton, New Zealand. At age of three, she has moved to Bangkok, Thailand with her parent where she was attending pre-school and primary school there. Katherine s started her tennis at age of 6 at The British Club Bangkok where she and her parent is a member there........Hard courts is favorite surface.....Hobbies include swimming, music and reading......Coached by Mr. Tom Westbury(Her father ) ........Admires Sharapova, Williams sisters and Santoro.
At age of 8 Katherine moved to Christchurch, South Island, New Zealand with her parent and her two brothers (Christopher and Aaron). She was attending Burnside Primary School and Cobhams Intermediate School. In Christchurch, Katherine was a member of Canterbury Tennis Regional Squad and coached by Glenn Wilson.
At age of 12, Katherine moved to Sydney, Australia with her parent.
