Thai Fed Cup Team and fifth seed Montinee Tangphong won her
first round match when she defeated qualifier
Shan-Shan Song of China in the $10,000 women's tennis tournament
this week at the DLTA Complex earlier today.
The talented girl from Samutsakorn advanced to second round
with 7-6(2),6-2
victory over
Shan-Shan Song of China. The other winning is Wilawan, defeating
Diana Julianto of Indonesia 6-0,6-1. Thassha was defeated
by Jie Hao of China 6-2,6-2.
In double first round, Montinee/Thassha beated Kinjo/Krishnamurthy
5-7,6-2,6-1. 4-Wilawan/ Diana Julianto beated Katsumi/Rai

twins capture 2004 Busan Open doubles title |

Thailand Davis Cup team and fourth seed Sonchat and Sanchai
successfully won 2004 Busan Open doubles title with a three-sets
victory over Japanese pairs
Satoshi Iwabuchi/Tasuku Iwami
earlier today. The Thai
twins fought back from one set down to defeat Satoshi
Iwabuchi/Tasuku Iwami
6-7(5),7-6(1),6-4 in the final.
Sonchat and Sanchai captured their second double title this
season, their other double title this year came at Hamilton,
New Zealand
in March. Last year they
have won five Future Circuit doubles titles and one $25K Challenger

double partner Yen-Hsun Lu of
Chinese Taipei in straight sets 6-2,6-3 at the
2004 Busan Open earlier
today.
Later in the evening in
double semifinals, Danai and Lu was stunned by
Satoshi
Iwabuchi/Tasuku Iwami of Japan
in straight sets 6-3,7-5. The Japanese pairs
will play Sonchat and Sanchai in the final tomorrow.....

World 393 ranked and 4th seed Montinee Tangphong of Thailand
fell to Yan
Chong Chen of China
in straight sets 7-6(7),6-2
at the
ITF $10,000 Women’s Futures tennis tournament today. The 18-year-old
from Samutsakorn had a set point at 7-6 in tiebreaker then
she had a disputed line call, lost focus and the Chinese girl
took the first set from there.
In double, Wilawan/Julianto also lost their semifinals match
to the Chinese pairs Y-H.Dong/
J.Hao in three sets battle 7-6(4),3-6,6-3........
