No. 1 Tamarine Tanasugarn won the first of the reverse singles
rubbers to give the Thais an unbeatable 3-0 lead and send
them to World Group status for the first time.
Tammy fought back from a set down to
defeat Australia's Nicole Pratt 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 to wrap up the
tie in
front of 2,500 Thai fans at the SAT Stadium at Muang Thong
Thani earlier
today. "
I played her many times and never seen her play aggressive
before. In the first set , she dominated aggressive baseline
game so well. I played more agressive in the second and third
set and happy I won. " said Tammy
Samantha Stosur rallied from a set down to defeat Napaporn
Tongsalee 4-6, 6-0, 6-0 in the dead singles rubber. Napaporn
Tongsalee and Montinee Tangphong lost the final rubber 5 to
McShea and Wheeler 4-6, 6-3, 7-5.

rallied from one set down, saving 3 break points in the 8th
game when she was down 5-7,6-2,3-4 and again saved 2 match
points at 4-5 down to
win the match. " There is nothing in my head
about the points even I was down 3 break points and 2 match
points, I just concentrated in every points. Samantha hit
the hard and I try not to give her favorite balls." said
Tammy who will play Nicole Pratt on tomorrow
reverse single match.
" I didn't put enough pressure on her (Tammy)
when I had chances
