World No. 243 and unseed Suchanun Viratprasert of Thailand progressed into the second round of the $US75,000 Legg Mason Women's Pro Circuit (Presented by Singha Beer) in Washington D.C., USA on Monday.
The Thai 22- year-old from Bangkok was leading 6-0, 2-1 before an injury caused Jarmila Gajdosova of Slovakia who is ranked 188th on WTA ranknig to retire from the match. Suchanun will play either her fellow and lucky loser Napaporn Tongsalee

World No. 299 and lucky loser Napaporn Tongsalee of Thailand crashed out of the $US75,000 Legg Mason Women's Pro Circuit (Presented by Singha Beer) in Washington D.C., USA on Tuesday night.
The Thai 25-year-old who got a lucky loser due to fourth seed Clarisa Fernandez withdrew from the tournament, was defeated by Mathilde Johansson of France in straight set 3-6,2-6.

World double No. 133 and Asian double No. 4 Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana of Thailand advanced to double quarterfinals of the $US100,000 Odlum Brown Vancouver Open in Vancouver, Canada on Wednesday.
The Thai duo could not do well in last week $US50,000 Granby challenger, losing in double first round due to Sanchai, Sonchat's twin brothers, got an injury at his stomach muscle. Twin brothers defeated pair of Noam Okun and Dudi Sela of Israel in straight set 6-2, 6-2 and will play quarterfinals against Cecil Mamiit and Glenn Weiner of USA....... More

Paradorn survives in Legg Mason Tennis Classic

World No. 42 and 13th seed Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand saved three match points before defeating American's Paul Goldstein in $US600,000 Legg Mason Tennis Classic in Washington D.C., USA on Wednesday.
The Thai No. 1 was in trouble against Goldstein, who put up a valiant fight and took the contest into the decider. But Paradorn clinched the endurance test, which lasted 150 minutes in three set battle victory.
The 13th seed began in style, breaking Goldstein one game, to win the first set. In the second, Goldstein got into the groove and started to hit well, Paradorn was up a break and leading 3-2 but Goldstein broke back twice and win the set 6-3.
In the third, Goldstein continued his impressive form, leading 5 - 4 and serving for the match. Paradorn made a comeback, saving three match points before convincing 6-4, 3-6, 7-5.
" I'm battling stomach trouble and lost the second set. I ran out of energy. My battery was running low. I tried to fight back and get into the match. The crowd helped me a lot. " said Paradorn who now sets up third round clash against

The Thai No. 1 who yesterday battled his stomach trouble in the third round clash against Paul Goldstein, swept past South Africa's Wesley Moodie in stright set 6-3, 7-6(1). " It's a long match last night, and I went back to the hotel and got a lot of rest and got my energy back. Tonight the most important thing I focused on was not losing my serve and I felt that I did a good job with that. The 26-year-old Thai superstar who was a finalist here in Washington in 2002, defeated Luis Horna of Peru in straight set 6-4, 7-5 in their quarterfinal clash.
" I was glad with the way I played today and was happy to win quickly. It's always the best time of the year for me. Here in the U.S. the weather is the same as in Thailand so I can get used to it quick. I want to get back into the Top 20 before the end of the year. Suchanun stuns Yan to reach semifinals in Washington

World No. 243 and unseed Suchanun Viratprasert of Thailand continued her impressive form to reach her first semifinals of the $US75,000 Legg Mason Women's Pro Circuit (Presented by Singha Beer) in Washington D.C., USA on Friday.
The 22-year-old Suchanun stunned Zi Yan of China who is ranked 203 in the world in three gruelling sets 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 in a 2 hours and 43 minutes quarterfinal clash.
The Thai No. 2 put up a good show, breaking Yan twice to take a lead 5-1. The Chinese girl fought back to level at 5 - 5 before the Thai won the first set 7-5. In the second, Yan came back strong, breaking Suchanun twice, to win the second set 6-2.
In the third, the Thai took a lead 4-1 and had a match point at 5-3 on Yan's service game. Again the Chinese girl fought back to level at 5-5. Suchanun broke back in the 11th game and held her next service game to win 7-5, 2-6, 7-5.

Olga Poutchkova of Russia who scored 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 win over Shiho Hisamatsu of Japan in other quarterfinals........ More
