Hingis ends her dream comeback in Volvo Women's Open

Former world No. 1 and five time Grand Slam champion Martina Hingis was ended her dream comeback for a full-time return to the professional game when she was defeated by Mariene Weingartner of Germany in three-set battle 6-1, 2-6, 2-6 at the Dusit Resort Hotel, Pattaya, Thailand on Tuesday. " It was a great experience. I was playing well but I am physically just not good enough yet. I did not feel I had a chance. I just couldn't raise my game when she started playing quicker. " said Hingis who will remain in the hotel to watch the rest of the tournament before heading to Phuket to visit tsunami victims on next Monday. She will donate all of her US$ 1,165 prize money from this tournament to charities......More
