| Peerakit, Lopburi advance in Brunei ITF Junior Grade 4 |
JALAN, BERAKAS, Brunei March 01, 2005
World Junior No. 450 and 15th seed Peerakit Siributwong of Thailand advanced to second round of the Brunei ITF Junior Group 4, defeating Jonathan Ooi Si Hong of Brunei in straight set 6-1, 6-0 at the National Tennis Centre, Jalan Berakas, Brunei earlier today. Lopburi Nathasiri and Chatpong Sungsiri joined Peerakit into second round. Lopburi defeated Kanagaraj Balakrishnan of Malaysia 6-2, 6-3 and Chatpong overpowered Hoang Long Do Ngoc of Vietnam in straight set 6-2, 6-2.
In girls singles, top seed Waratchaya Wongteanchai, 4th seed Parichart, 5th seed Punchanok, 8th seed Varanya and 14th seed Sophia got first round bye....... More

| Nicha stuns 4th seed Parichart in Brunei ITF Junior Grade 4 |

World Junior No. 1306 and unseed Nicha Lertpitaksinchai of Thailand stunned her compatriot and 4th seed Parichart Charoensukployphol in straight set 6-2, 6-3 to reach the third round of the Brunei ITF Junior Group 4 at the National Tennis Centre, Jalan Berakas, Brunei earlier today. The 14-year-old talented girl from Bangkok sets up third round clash against 16th seed Angelina Jogasuria of Indonesia. Four others Thai girls Waratchaya, Punchanok, Varanya and Sophia also advanced into the third round.
In boys singles second round, 15th seed Peerakit Siributwong went down 3-6, 3-6 to Jung Ho Woo of Korea. 13th seed Ralph Kevin Barte of Philippines defeated Lopburi Nathasiri 6-1, 6-0......More

World Junior No. 776 and 14th seed Sophia Mulsap of Thailand knocked out second seed Anja Vanessa Peter of Philippines in straight set 6-4, 6-1 and stormed into the quarterfinal of the Brunei ITF Junior Group 4 at the National Tennis Centre, Jalan Berakas, Brunei earlier today. The 14-year-old talented girl Nicha Lertpitaksinchai and Punchanok Khunpitak continued their fine run to join Sophia into the quarterfinal. Nicha beated 16th seed Angelina Jogasuria of Indonesia 6-3,6-2 while Punchanok defeated 9th seed Sushrutha Reddy of India 6-4, 6-1. | Danai kicks off rubber one for Davis Cup |

The draws of the three-day tie were taken out at a simple ceremony on Thursday. Thailand's number two and world no. 209 Danai Udomchoke will plays Pakistan tennis ace and world no. 214 Aisamul Haq Qureshi in the opening match. In the second singles match, Paradorn Srichaphan will take on Aqeel Khan. On the second day, Aisam and Aqeel will take on Thai twin brothers Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana, while in the reverse singles Danai will be playing Aqeel and Paradorn will be taking on Aisam on the final day........Results

World no. 33 and Asian no. 1 Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand scored his victory over Pakistan's no. 2 Aqeel Khan to give Thailand 1 : 1 after his compatriot Danai Udomchoke lost first rubber single match to Pakistan's no. 1 Aisamul Haq Qureshi in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Asia/Oceania Zone Group I First Round on day one. The Thai no. 1 defeated Aqeel Khan in four-set battle 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(3), 6-1 at the Cosmopolitan Club grass courts, Lahore Gymkhana earlier today.
The double rubber will be playing tomorrow. Thai twin brothers Sonchat and Sanchai Ratiwatana will take on Aisam Haq Qureshi and Aqeel Khan. However, teams are allowed to change their combinations up to an hour before the start of play....... Results

| Sophia meets Nicha in semifinal of Brunei ITF Junior Grade 4 |

World Junior No. 776 Sophia Mulsap and unseed Nicha Lertpitaksinchai of Thailand continued their impressive form to reach the semifinal of the Brunei ITF Junior Group 4. The 15-year-old and 14th seed Sophia overpowered Kai-Chen Chang of Taipei in straight set 6-0, 6-3 while 14-year-old Nicha ousted 10th seed Taipei's Su-Han Yang 6-2, 6-3 at the National Tennis Centre, Jalan Berakas, Brunei earlier today. Unfortunately they have to meet each other in semifinal. Other Thai girl Punchanok was defeated by Shao-Yuan Kao of Taipei 5-7, 2-6.
In doubles quarterfinal, third seed Sophia - Punchanok reached semifinal with 7-6(1), 6-3 win over Nicha - Moriuchie(THA/JPN). Second seed Varanya - Ueshima(THA/JPN) beated Su-Han Yang - Kai-Chen Chang(TPE) 6-0, 6-4.......More

World Junior No. 1306 and unseed Nicha Lertpitaksinchai of Thailand booked her place into the final of the Brunei ITF Junior Group 4 when she defeated her compatriot and 14th seed Sophia Mulsap in straight set 6-2, 6-3 at the National Tennis Centre, Jalan Berakas, Brunei earlier today. The 14-year-old talented girl from Bangkok sets up the final clash against 3rd seed Shao-Yuan Kao of Chinese Taipei who recorded 7-6(3),5-7,6-2 win over 7th seed Naoko Ueshima of Japan.
In doubles final, second seed Varanya - Ueshima(THA/JPN) went down 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 to Shao-Yuan Kao and Yun Ku of Taipei....... More

It was a great week for world Junior No. 1306 and unseed Nicha Lertpitaksinchai of Thailand who will turn 14-year-old in August this year. Nicha reached the final by defeating four seed players, 4th seed Parichart Charoensukployphol in second round, 16th seed Angelina Jogasuria of Indonesia in third round, 10th seed Taipei's Su-Han Yang in quarterfinal and 14th seed Sophia Mulsap in semifinal .
