Top seed Varatchaya Wongteanchai of Thailand advanced to the second round of the 1st Rama Gardens Hotel Junior Open, a ITF Junior Tennis Group 4 at Rama Gardens Hotel Tennis Courts, Bangkok, Thailand on Monday.
The Thai 16-year-old talented girl from Chiang-rai defeated compatriot Parichart Charoensukployphol in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. The top seed faces Kanyapat Narattana in second round. Five other Thai girls who joined Varatchaya into second round are Prariyawat, Nicha, Hathaichanok, Porntip and Uthumporn.
In Boy's single first round, Khunpol Issara beat fellow Pattrayu Chumpetch in staright sets 6-4, 6-1 while Lopburi Nathasiri breezed past Faris Akhazzan of Great Britain 6-2,1-6,6-3....... More

Second seed Thassha Vitayaviroj of Thailand stormed into the second round of the $US10,000 fifth NECC-ITF women's tennis tournament in Pune, India on Monday.
The Thai 18-year-old was in trouble against India's Sonal Phadke who put up a valiant fight and took the contest into the decider. But the Thai clinched the endurance test before winning 7-6(2), 4-6, 6-1. Wildcard entrant Hathaichanok Saenyaukhot of Thailand put up a good show, defeating eighth seeded to reach the quarterfinals of the 1st Rama Gardens Hotel Junior Open, a ITF Junior Tennis Group 4 at Rama Gardens Hotel Tennis Courts, Bangkok, Thailand earlier today.
The Thai 15-year-old talented girl from Ratchaburi, who is ranked 785th, stunned eighth seeded Anja-Vanessa Peter of Philippines in staright sets 6-1, 6-1. Hathaichanok now face fourth seeded Indonesia's Lutfiana-Aris Budiharto in quarterfinals.

Second seeded Tamarine Tanasugarn of Thailand defeated compatriot Montinee Tangphong to advance to the second round of the $US50,000 Media Will Cup, a ITF Women's Challenger Tournament at
Geumjeong Tennis Stadium in Busan, Korea earlier today.
The Thai No. 1 Tamarine who is out of the top 100 for the first time in 10 years, began in style, winning the first set easily 6-1. In the second, Montinee got into the groove and start to hit well. Tammy made many unforced errors and lost second set 3-6. Montinee continued playing well and leading 2-0 in the third set but Tammy fought back to take a lead 5 - 3. Montinee broke back to level at 5 - 5. Tammy did not let go the opportunity and broke Montinee while holding her own serves to prevail 6-1, 3-6, 7-5........ More

Julia Vorobeva in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 at Geumjeong Tennis Stadium in Busan, Korea earlier today.
The Thai, seeded 6th in the draw, now play second round against Korea's Kim Hae Sung who recoeded 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 win over qualifier Ryu Hee-Sun. Other Thai girl Napaporn Tongsalee went down 3-6, 4-6 to Korea's teenager Kim So Jung.

Top seed Varatchaya Wongteanchai and seventh seeded Kittipong Wachiramanowong of Thailand both failed to make the final of Boy's and Girl's single, losing their semifinals match in the 1st Rama Gardens Hotel Junior Open, a ITF Junior Tennis Group 4 at Rama Gardens Hotel Tennis Courts, Bangkok, Thailand earlier today.
The Thai top junior Varatchaya went down 6-7(4), 2-6 to third-seed Denise Dy of Philippines while seventh-seed Kittipong was defeated by fifth-seed Japan's Genki Tomita.

Thailand's No. 2 Danai Udomchoke was knocked out in the first round by unseed Jan-Michael Gambill in the $US75,000 Music City Challenger in Nashville, TN, USA on Tuesday.
The Thai 24-year-old who had beaten Jan-Michael Gambill in the semifinal, 6-2, 7-6(8), in their only previous meeting at July's 2005 Granby Challenger, had two match points when he was leading 5 - 3 and 40 : 15 in the final set. But the American fought back, saving two match points before winning 7-6(5), 5-7, 7-6(5). Danai who has lost five consecutive first round match in a roll since ATP Thailand Open, will be competing next week $US50,000 Champaing Challenger for his next schedule....... More
