Twins brother advance in Jiangmen Future Circuit

Thailand's twins brother Sanchai and Soncaht Ratiwatana moved into the singles' qualifying second round of the $US15,000 Future circuit in Jiangmen, China earlier today.
Fourteen-seeded Sanchai defeated Huai-En Chang of Chinese Taipei in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 while thirteen-seeded Sonchat downed Sashan Shimiel of Israel 6-2, 6-1. Weerapat Doakmaiklee joined twins brother into the second round with 7-5, 6-4 victory over Rui Hao of China. Two other Thai men, Kirati Siributwong and Putporn Chantawannop did not join Weerapat's success as they went down to Chinese players in straight sets....... More

World singles No. 1167 Sanchai Ratiwatana pulled off a win in today's final qualifying to complete the 32-player singles main draw of the $US15,000 Future circuit in Jiangmen, China earlier today.

Thailand's 14-year-old Pattrayu Chumpetch stormed into the boy's singles second round of the 2006 Optus 14s National Hardcourts, the 14 & Under Series Sponsored by Australian Open at Gosford Tennis Center in Gosford, Australia on Monday.
Unseed Pattrayu, a Nonthaburi native, defeated Matthew J Barton of Australia in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 and will play another young Aussie Gavin Levy in the second round.
In girl's singles, Thailand's 14-year-old and fifth-seeded Nicha Lertpitaksinchai who enjoyed a first-round bye, will meet Sarah Phee of Australia in the girl's singles second round........ More

World No. 121 and Thai Davis Cup team Danai Udomchoke rallied from a set down before advancing to Men's qualifying second round of the Australian Open 2006 at Melbourne Park Tennis Center in Melbourne, Australia earlier today.
The Thai No. 2 who is seeded third in Men's qualifying tournament, outlast
Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine in three set battle 2-6, 6-3, 8-6. Danai who has reached his career-best of 121, keeping his errors to a minimum, with 39 compared to Stakhovsky's 53 and won six of the 14 break points he held .
" I didn't play my best today. My first serve didn't work and I made many double faults. That is the reason why I lost my services so many times. He (
Stakhovsky) played so well in the first set. I was leading 4 - 2 in the third and had so many chances to hold my serve but I couldn't do it. I felt a bit tired because I ran a lot today. Weiner is a tough player, I have to be ready for tomorrow match. World No. 121 and third-seeded Danai Udomchoke of Thailand moved a step closer to qualify for the main draw when he reached the final qualifying round by defeating Glenn Weiner of USA in straight set 7-6(4), 6-3 in the Men's qualifying second round of the Australian Open 2006 at Melbourne Park Tennis Center in Melbourne, Australia earlier today.
The Thai 24-year-old who never reached the main draw of Australian Open before, will take on
unseed Dominik Meffert of Germany who knocked out 27th seed Sasa Tuksar of Croatia 2-6, 7-6(9), 6-2.
In women's qualifying, 11th seed

Thailand's No. 1 Tamarine Tanasugarn and world no. 121 Danai Udomchoke secured a berth in the main draw of Australian Open after
their final qualifying round victory at Melbourne Park Tennis Center in Melbourne, Australia earlier today.
Seeded No. 11 in the qualifying draw, the Thai 28-year-old Tamarine who is out of the top 100 for the first time in 10 years, eased past Taiwanese teenager Su Wei Hsieh in straight sets 6-1, 6-2. Tammy showed great impressive form, keeping her errors to a minimum, with 18 compared to Su Wei's 36 and won seven of the 12 break points she held. Ranked 128th in the world Tammy who extend her 37th Grand Slam main draw appearance streak since 1997 US Open, will play Jamea Jackson of USA in the first round of the Open.
In men's qualifying, The Thai 24-year-old Danai Udomchoke who never reached the 128-player main draw of Australian Open before, fought back from one set down to defeat Dominik Meffert of Germany in three set battle 5-7, 7-6(5), 3-0. The Thai secured a berth in the main draw of Australian Open for the first time in his professional career after Meffert retired from the match due to cramps when Danai was leading 3 - 0 in the decisive set.
