Woong-Sun Jun of Korea to reach the
quarter-finals in the $US50,000
Busan Open at Geumjeong Tennis Stadium
in Busan, Korea earlier today.
The Thai 24-year-old, currently ranked 97 in the world,
prevailed over Korea's Woong-Sun Jun in straight sets 6-4,
6-4. Jun, currently ranked 466 in the world, has reached his
career-best of No. 4 in world junior in October 2004.
Danai next play unseeded Japan's Toshihide Matsui who recorded
7-5, 5-7, 7-5 win over seventh-seeded Todd Widom of USA, for
a place to the semi-finals......... More

his quarter-final match in the final (master) leg of the $US25,000

earlier
today.
The Thai 18-year-old talented
boy from Chonburi was upended by fourth-seeded Marinko Matosevic
of Australia in straight sets 6-4, 6-1.
With a good showing in the final (master) leg, Weearapat
and Keerati earned three and one computor ranking points respectively.
Their name will appear on ATP ranking in the latest list released
by the ATP in the next two week........More

Tanasugarn of Thailand was the big name to fall
on a day of upsets in the women's singles second round at
the $US25,000 Chinese Women's circuit in Tianjin, China earlier
today.
The
Thai 28-year-old, ranked 141 in the world, was knocked out
by qualifier Yi-Fan Xu of China in straight sets 6-2, 7-5.
In double, unfortunate top seed Napaporn
Tongsalee teamed up with Taipei's Chia-Jung Chuang who was
playing injury her right wrist, failed to make the semi-final,
losing 7-5, 7-6 to the Chinese pair in the quarter-finals........

Udomchoke of Thailand
hammered his way past Toshihide Matsui of Japan,
to move on to the semi-finals of the
$US50,000 Busan Open at Geumjeong Tennis
Stadium in Busan, Korea earlier today.
It was a rematch between the two who met in the final
round in the Chikmagalur Challenger in April this year when
the Thai edged out the Japanese in two set. This time the
Thai 24-year-old (ATP-97) outplayed Japan's No. 2 players
Toshihide Matsui (ATP-283) in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
" It was very windy today. I played OK today
and I'm happy with the way I played. " said
Danai who sets up semi-finals clash with Cecil Mamiit of the
Phillippines who recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory over German Simon
Stadler in the another quarter-finals......... More

Thailand's 14-year-old Noppawan
Lertcheewakarn confirmed berths in the 64-player
singles main draw at French Open Junior Grand Slam, after
the qualifying matches were completed at Montrouge, France
earlier today.
Noppawan, seeded fourth in the qualifying draw, beat Julie
Herve of France 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 in the
first round yesterday and then scored a 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 victory
over Japan's Emiko Ito in the final qualifying rounds.
Noppawan (ITF-59) who became the youngest Thai junior players
( 14 years and 6 months ) to play the Junior Grand Slam, will
have a day off then she will start the first round match at
Roland Garros on Sunday....... More

Udomchoke of Thailand continued
his impressive form, defeating Filipino-American Cecil
Mamiit 6-3, 6-3 to secure a place into
the final of the $US50,000 Busan Open at Geumjeong
Tennis Stadium in Busan, Korea earlier today.
Danai also avenged his three-set loss to Mamiit in
the 2005 Manila SEA Games in December last year where he lost
6-3, 5-7, 6-4 in the final. He improved
their head to head record to 2 - 3 against the Filipino-American.
The Thai 24-year-old (ATP-97), a defending champion, is eyeing
his third straight title this year after winning two tournaments
in Chikmagalur and Fergana. Danai sets up a title clash with
second seed Hyung-Taik Lee of Korea who recorded a 6-2, 7-6(4)

sets 6-3, 6-2 to second seed Hyung-Taik Lee of Korea in the
men's single final of the $US50,000
Busan Open at Geumjeong Tennis Stadium
in Busan, Korea earlier today.
The Thai 24-year-old (ATP-97), got off to a slow start
and was a break down at 2-4 before losing the first set 6-3.
Lee, who reached his caeer-high of 52 in March 2003, continued
his dominant play, breaking the Thai twice before prevailing
the second set 6-2, lasting one hour and 15 minute.
Danai who awarded $US4,240 and 42 ATP entry points, will be
heading for USA to play challenger tournament at $US50,000
Yuba City before starting his first grass season in London,

men's singles first round, to advance to the second round
of the $US10,000 LTAT Bangkok Open F1, a men's Futures circuit,
at the Tennis Academy of Asia in Pathumthani, Thailand earlier
today.
Weerapat, 18-year-old talented boy from Chonburi, a quarter-finalist
in Jakarta Future circuit last week, rallied past the Thai-German
Philipp Piyamongkol in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 while Kirati
reached the second round with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Tai-Wei
Liu of Chinese Taipei. Kirati meets a tough opponent and second
seed Hyung-Kwon Kim of Korea in the second round. Weerapat

Thailand's 14-year-old Noppawan
Lertcheewakarn crashed out of the clay Junior
Grand Slam, losing single first round in the French Open Junior
at Roland Garros, Paris, France earlier today.
The Thai, a Chiangmai native (ITF-58) who became the youngest
Thai junior players ( 14 years and 6 months ) to play the
Junior Grand Slam, went down 6-2, 6-3 to No. 12 seed Julia
Cohen of USA. Noppawan is scheduled to practice on grass court
in Germany for two weeks before competing two grass tournaments
at Roehampton and Wimbledon Junior Championships in England.......
